Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick

Bite Beauty, is certainly a brand that always puts out some of the most amazing products. Their specialty is lipstick and they are certainly concurring the market with their, "bite". This company is has an all natural line of products, each Bite lip product is handcrafted, one by one. Providing nourishing, restorative benefits. Lipsticks contain natural and organic ingredients- moisturizers and protective antioxidants like organic fruit butters and Manuka honey, that will leave the lips full of color and crazy moisturized!

The Amuse Bouche lipstick is one of my favorite brands as far as lip color. Formula is super pigmented and hydrating. I also love that citrus scent and it tastes great, too!

These lipsticks have a thick, creamy consistency in their wax and allows them to give off such a rich color pigment. Most importantly, to me anyways.. they are very comfortable to wear, a weightless formula. Packs a huge punch of hydration, my lips always feel so nice with this lippie on. Texture wise, I always feel like I'm lathering my lips with a stick of butter. Amouse Bouche, works beautifully without a lip liner or primer, as it does offer long lasting effects. I can get around 6 hours of wear without flaking.

The actual lipstick tube is so simple and straight forward. Like a flattering lipstick bullet. I love simple and flattering! A really stunning look. The tubes have a rubberized matte feel and is quite sturdy. The lid clicks tight and has a satisfying "click".

Beetroot is a very intense shade. It's certainly a stunner. For a berry, it's not to purple, but the perfect in between. It's certainly a very refreshing shade and has a hint of fuchsia. Makes for a perfect color for spring or fall choice.

Gazpacho is a gorgeous blood red or raspberry. This is one color that is my go-to when choosing a red for the day. It's one that I can pull off with any changing season. Swipes on very bold and is a stunner color. Bite describes it as a true-blue red, on my lips it's a bright cool toned red, that I adore.

Pepper is the most everyday wearable, that will go with a variety of different looks. I really prefer "Pepper" as it helps brighten up my complexion.

As you can see from the swatches, each color is highly pigmented. Swatches don't lie! This was one swipe for each color. These lipstick "bullets" really pack some color, right?! Not a true matte, but not a shiny color either, its the perfect in between.

There is really no complaints I have with this line, however they do transfer, quite a bit.
I have very long hair, and if it's blown or moves in front of the lips, the locks will catch some color! Not really a complaint, as most lipsticks tend to do. Just sayin... They do tend

In total the full range comprises of 44 shades available on there's bound to be something to suit every skin tone. However, these lipsticks are certainly not cheap. Retail price is $26 a piece from Sephora. For that $26 your getting an almost nearly 100% natural lipstick that is so full of color, with a creamy formula that stays put. Bites ingredients are mainly food grade. Since you end up "eating" most of the lipstick you apply, may as well be something safe! I appreciate any type of all natural formula. Which is where the color lipstick names come from! Find you're perfect color on

Boxycharm August 2017 first box

Hello Boxycharm!

I am just now getting starting in the monthly subscription box world. I was one of those stubborn people, you know the one saying... "oh this is a way to get your money, just another scam" or "just junk". So I finally did some research on several different boxes and ordered a few, but there is one that has really blown me away and really screams my name! That is Boxycharm! Now there is nothing but full size items in that box. Let me fill you in if your not familiar with Boxy. So first off this is a monthly subscription that cost $21 a month. Only 21... no extra charges, hidden fees.. just 21 every month. That is if you pay monthly, now if you do a 3 month plan or a yearly plan, your monthly fee would drop a little.

What do I get? Each month Boxycharm sends out 4/5 products that are full sized and each box will value at $100 or more. You can't beat that!

You can also earn "charms" for doing reviews or referring friends. For each referral you get 500 points. Then you can buy from the "charm store". However its best to check on or after the 15th each month. I subscribed in June and was waitlisted. However, as soon as August 1st came, I was off the waitlist. YIPPIE!!

So lets see this box!

Theme: Beach Please!

Each box comes with a card detailing each item, the value and BoxyTips.

Rainforest of the Sea: Volume II by Tarte
Retail Price: $36.00

I was most excited for this palette! I love Tarte Cosmetics, they offer some of the best makeup formulas. The display case of this palette really stands out. The colors are very nice, from a shiny gold, purple and blue, oh it's so pretty to look at omg!

The shades are each named with a "beachy" theme. Pigment is great through out, but I have noticed some shades are easier to blend the others. The shimmers are more subtle and have an easy pearl finish. The palette features a nice large mirror and is perfect if you need to add it to your purse. Also included was a coupon code to save $10.00 on my next purchase of $60 at

PRO EYELASHES - by PUR The Complexion Authority
Retail Price: $14.00

I am typically a mascara girl. Reason being, is I am far from an expert at applying lashes, in fact I never could apply. Which I thought these would be hard to apply, so I wasn't too thrilled about them. However, I was wrong! Turns out I have been applying the wrong brand of lashes, cheaper drug store brands. High end brands definitely make a huge difference, for me anyways. I couldn't get the drug store brands to hold in the corners. This was a variant item, you get one of two styles. Mine are diva and I really love them. The lashes are soft and made from synthetic lashes. Love that this line is cruelty free. They look really pretty on the eyes without being to much. In the end, this has turned out to be my most favorite item from this months box! Pretty crazy, I went from hating lashes to.. this could be a daily beauty routine for me!

MODA PRO 3-Piece Brush Set
Retail Price: $26.00

Features a pointed blush, chisel blender and a crease brush. Achieving endless looks and can be used with both wet/dry products. I have a different set of eye brushes from this brand, and they were certainly no let down. These feel just as nice.

The Pointed Brush is perfect for blush or powder with precision. Chisel Brush is versatile and can be used for highlights or contour. The Crease Brush is designed to help define and blend the crease or to buff over your lid. The bristles are soft and densely packed. I love the diamond handles, has a nice grip and feels good in the hand. Impressive set!

Retail Price: $15.00 (a variant item)

The formula glides on smooth and is smudge proof. A great pigment and the formula last quite a while.

Seems to be a nice, high end eyeliner. I typically use a liquid eyeliner, but there are days a good gel pen is what I need, depending on the look I am going for. This is definitely what I needed for those days.

#GRLPWR LIQUID LIPSTICK (Date Night) by The Beauty Corp
Retail Price: $14.95

I am very picky when it comes to colors of lippies that I will use. I try to stick to nude colors, reds and some pinks. I have always been one of those girls, that stick to the same things, and I am trying to come out of that habit. So first, I love the display and tube this comes in. It almost looks like a frosty glass tube with gold lettering and cap. It's very pretty and cruelty free. The brand name is also pretty catchy, and cute. Has a slightly scent, that was refreshing. The formula has a creamy texture and dries quickly, to a matte finish. Enriched with vitamin E and Shea Butter making it very comfortable on the lips. After it sets, you can't even tell its there. Doesn't cake, flake or dry out allowing you to take on the day! I love the color and it's matte look. I can seriously get about 11 hours of wear out of this and has the potential to be worn longer. I didn't try though cause it was time for my face paint to come off! The color is shockingly attractive.

Will I continue being an active subscriber to Boxycharm? Hells to the yes! I am so mad at myself for waiting all this time to subscribe, especially when looking at past boxes. I love to collect pretty makeup for one, and try new brands that I wouldn't typically try. Like the eyelashes. I started off with a cheap drug store brand to see how I would like them and that was a big fail. The high-end PUR Cosmetics brand worked wonders for me, just the first time applying! Even brands, I wouldn't try.. I will be looking in to more products the brand carries. It's certainly a sweet deal, you can't get a better deal than that!

Lastly, I have read up that Boxycharm offers a great customer service. I have seen where sometimes an item may get damaged in transit, so you will need to save your box to show proof of the item, with a picture of the shipping label. I hope I never get a damaged item, but if that ever happens, I know that I can count on Boxycharm to make things right. If you haven't subscribed and thinking of joining, don't wait SUBSCRIBE NOW as there could be a waitlist and you certainly don't want to miss the upcoming months, the owner of Boxycharm himself revealed there would be a eyeshadow palette each month till December. Music, to my ears! I love some eyeshadow palettes!

Retail Price: $34.00

Who's excited for this palette? I know I sure am, the PUR eyelashes was such a huge hit for me, I am stoked to try a one of their palettes!

Jaclyn Hill Palette Say What!

It was hard to get my hands on a Jaclyn Hill Palette, after about 45 minutes and two weeks for shipping... I managed to snag one. This was during the 2nd restock. Apparently, Morphe sold more palettes, then they had and I was one of the unlucky's who had to wait and extra week for shipping. Talk about being upset! haha anyways it came in a few days early then tracking said, once it finally did ship. I was a "happy camper" again.

But, then.. there it is, my Morphe box... and I am terrified to open it..
Thinking to myself, my luck.. "this is going to be broken, something happened to it during transit".
Finally, I said screw it and grabbed a pair of scissors..
My Jaclyn Palette was perfecly fine! Sweet!

Hands down, this is the most exciting palette I have ever bought.
Heck, it was the most exciting beauty piece I have ever bought!
So much hype about this palette.. I'll be the first to say it was worth it.

Jaclyn did a terrific job choosing these colors and putting this palette together.
The palette being white! OMG it's freaking awesome. Right now, it's my most "prized possession"!

Swatched so well. Beautiful on and blends so stinking good. There isn't NO, "fall out", what so ever.
Which is another reason I love Morphe so much. Morphe offers a high quality professional product, without the high costs.

I do wish that Jaclyn will hurry and post more tutorials with her palette, as she is my favorite eye shadow YouTuber. We all know that girl is killer with a makeup brush! Hopefully, this is also the first of her collaboration with brands and we will get more. Collab items end up being my, "go-to" in my makeup collection.

Girls run, right now as I am typing this up... Morphe has the JH palette in stock! Not sure how long it will be there.

DIY Color Switch - dry cosmetic brush cleaner

So I am guilty of using a towel, tissue, wash cloth , anything in my reach, when trying to color switch. That was yesterday! Time to throw in the towel, literally.

Anyways, last night I see this picture pop up on my news feed, on FB. It was from a makeup page or group that I'm in. Anything related to makeup always catching my attention. A photo of an egg shell foam  with a cosmetic brush? I am thinking.. huh! Then I start reading in to and see this its a color switch! I have never owned a professional color switch. There are some out there, that will run $18 or more. I am not downing them, just never tried one.

There are some neat little ways to make this color switch. Some would have involved me going to the Dollar Store. Which they were closed, it was past 9 and I really wanted to try this method. So I just decided to peak around the house and use what I have on hand.

I was lucky, I had the foam. Thanks to Boxycharm. If your not a subscriber, then take a look at my August box HERE I just subscribed myself! My Charm Box had just arrived a few days earlier and for some reason, I hadn't threw out the egg foam yet.

Then, I found an old powder container in a makeup bag, and put that to use.
The next steps was easy peasy. I traced the opening of the container onto the bottom of the egg shell. That way it would properly fit, if you're using something smaller, be sure to cut off enough to close the lid, if needed.

I did test this theory before cutting it and all. And oh my, it worked wonders in no time. If you have used a towel or tissue, then you're really going to love this color switch method.

There are many ways to do this DIY.
The Dollar Tree sells tin cans, with clear lids. If you chose that route, get the larger one. Or just cut out a square and add to your stash of makeup. It's all up to you.

If you don't have egg foam, that's okay. There are plenty of options.
Some people prefer stipple sponge. Now I have never used a professional color switch but judging from the pictures, stipple sponge looks just like the Vera Mona Color Switch. You can also use, a new foam kitchen sponge or even a hair doughnut. Next time I visit the Dollar Tree, I will pick up a stipple sponge. I do want to try that method, too. I will be sure to post an update.
Add some style or bedazzle to your color switch, if you'd like. By adding jewels, washi tape, anything to add some pizzazz. I have a pretty pink spray paint, I was thinking would look good.

Overall, I am really impressed with this filler. Cleaning my brushes, on the fly, whenever I need to switch colors. Doesn't require any liquid cleaner, and just a couple swipes across the foam. Removing dark colors, switching to a light. While I can not compare this to professional color switch products, I can say this method worked very well.

Have you ever tried this DIY? What did you use as a filler?

July Glossybox - first box!

Why yes, I think I have been living under a rock it seems, in the whole world of subscription boxes.
I was one of those people who was too stubborn to try a subscription box.

You know the one in the background, saying, "another scheme to get your money", or "they will send JUNK"! "Totally not worth it, mini samples, why would you even buy it when I could get it at the store"! Yep that is what I had built up in my mind all this time. Well something grabbed my attention one day. Then I went to doing some research, digging in to past boxes. Thinking, "hmm this may be a sweet deal"!

So I took the plunge! Actually I took a huge dive! Not only did I subscribe to one or two but I went went all out and subscribed to 4 monthly beauty subs. Well, I am here to tell you.. I was a FOOL! Straight up, crazy person for never trying them out! This is really one of those thinks where I am kicking myself for never trying these subscriptions, looking at all the stuff I missed out on. My favorite box, you can read all about HERE

Glossybox... so thankful I found you!

When I subscribed to Glossybox, it was August 1st. However they were still promoting the July box and that is what I got! Which is fine with me, however just upset that I'll go straight in to September month and I won't be getting August. Bummer... but I am just thrilled to be on board.

Glossybox is always offering a perk to sign up. Sometimes for new subscribers you can find 3 months for $10 each. Or you can find codes for free makeup! When I signed up, Colorpop - Ultra Matte Lip was being promoted. Not just one but TWO! Sign me up!

Glossybox sends their boxes monthly. Charging is the 1st of each month. Or you can choose other plans and will drop the price. Sending out 5 luxury sized products each month. Items will vary from makeup, skincare or hair-care. Getting you an assortment of all. All high end or emerging brands. My free gift came with my first monthly box.

I was tickled pink when my box first arrived. Opening it up like a kid at Christmas!
I was blown away by, how carefully packed and just how gorgeous everything looked. As far as packaging Glossy, goes the farthest. Each month will be a different theme and matching box, aside from the shipping box.

Each box contains, a pamphlet that gives a description of the product, it's value and sometimes spoilers for the next box.

Trifle Cosmetics Lip Parfait in Exotic Fruits
Retail Price: $19.00

Wrapped in adorable packagin and infused with coca butter, this 100% cruelty free lipstick keeps lips plumped and glowing with intense color pigments. For a more bolder lip, you can pair with a nude lip liner and blend. I have also used primer underneath and that works well too. Gliding on so smoothly and feels amazing on the lips. Offering this insanely amazing scent. Oh my it is beautiful and so is that packaging, I'm obcessed with the packaging.

DE BRUYERE After Sun Lotion Monoi
Retail Price: $12.00

Now, I am just head over heals about this stuff. In fact, it's so good that I am using it as a lotion! Yeh, it's that good. All the products are just great in this box, but this is by far my favvvvvvv! Packed with an intensely rich fragrance, I am in ahh over it! Not to mention, it packs a great hydration on the skin. Very moist and full of benefits as it is designed to nourish and protect the skin that has been weakened by the sun.

La Roche-Posay - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Cleanser
Full Size: $15.00

Your skin should never feel tight after cleansings! La Roche-Posay's gentle products remove impurities and reduces excess oil while helping to prevent over drying. Use with cleanser, while massaging entire face in circular motions for one minute. To make the most out of your cleansing routine. This was the only item, that wasn't full size. But it was a good deluxed sized and will get a good bit of uses.

NCLA - Clean Up Your Act
Full Size: $16.00

Now, I only paint the toe nails. And I always make mistakes. In the real world, most everyone does. That's okay, cause Clean Up Your Act is to the rescue, literally. This pen is a precision nail lacquer remover and will clean up any accidents. Includes 3 replacement tips. This pen will be so handy, every time I make a mistake, doesn't matter how I try to "clean it up" I always end up smudging the nail!

Dr. Paw Paw - Multipurpose Soothing Balm
Retail Price: $10.00

I have never used a multipurpose balm. Always use something "targeted", so this was a must try! From skin protector, and moisturizer, to lip finisher, this balm may be used on sunburn or skin irritations, thanks to the natural ingredients which includes fermented Pawpaw. Now that is a multipurpose balm, for real! A formula that you can always carry with you.

Doucce X Glossybox - Blush Duo Palette
Freematic Small case: $10.00
Freematic Blus Mono: $14.00

This limited edition Blush Duo is a fashionista's dream. The included Summer Sunset shade in this *oh so cute* palette will highlight the apples of your cheeks, leaving behind a soft, sun kissed glow. So one color comes in the magnetic palette, and you get to choose the second shade. It is limited edition and the shades go fast. Which unfortunately for me, I can't access the survey. Which is fine. I am thrilled with the shade provided!

My free perks for signing up.

Colorpop Ultra Matte Lip
Retail Price: $6.00 each

I got two full sized tubes in the colors, "Wednesday and Speed Dial". I just love those names! But even better I am more thrilled with the colors and how pigmented they are. I have always been a fan of Colorpop. They offer high end product, at a fraction of the cost. The formula is long lasting and has a nice scent to the lippies. But the tubes, they are so pretty and simple. I have an eye for packaging!

There it is! This $21 box really pays for it's self over and over.
Plus, you get to try brands and products you wouldn't normally try.
The after sun lotion, was a huge hit for me, so much I am looking into other products they offer.
I had never heard of this brand before. Also, that box! Is it not gorgeous?! Oh I am keeping that to. They will fit right inside my makeup vanity in my drawers.

Another great thing about Glossybox, you can rack up points. Either from doing reviews of the products you get, or referring friends. This is one of the only monthly subscriptions that allow you to use your points, to purchase monthly boxes.

Free 12 piece makeup kit from Ulta Beauty

Were you able to snag the 12 piece free beauty set from Ulta? Curious and want to know what's inside?

Then you came to the right place!
When I placed my order with I was impatient and wanted to get a good look of what was inside. I couldn't find hardly any spoilers from other customers on YouTube or on Google of the August freebie. But I did find one finally, and I was thrilled for the products inside.

This free 12 piece kit comes with many full sized goodies. I am so excited about this freebie, plus I am already turned on to some items that I will continue purchasing! Items that I would have never purchased.

So first up, you get to choose from the pink set or the blue set.
Basically, both have the same products and same colors,  they are just in a different marble swirl pattern.

I chose the pink. In person it's even more pretty!

Starting with the Makeup Bag first.

Feels like a nice quality, not something cheap and already fell apart in the mail. Zipper closes nicely and is large enough to hold all the freebies, plus a tad bit more. Would make a great makeup holder for your purse with an attractive look.

Ulta Lip Primer
Retail Value: $8.00

I have always wanted to try Ulta's Lip Primer, but never got around to it. So I was stoked. A full sized tube, apply it on before lipstick. Supposely the secret to longer lasting lip color? Helps smooth dry and textured lips. Creates the perfect canvas for comfortable, smooth and longer lasting lip color. Lip color stays vibrant and in place for hours without fading or bleeding. Paraben and sulfate free. Does it live up to its description? I would have to say yes. My main reason for wanting to try this line, when wearing certain lipsticks.. my lips want to start flaking and and peel super easy. My lips haven't chapped at all since using this primer under my lipstick. It also keeps my color from bleeding. Even holding the color on after meals! I exfoliate and tried many balms before trying this primer. It's definitely a winner in my book!

Ulta Beauty - Maximum Lash Mascara
Retail Price: $10.50 (full sized tube)

This formula has long lasting effects, easy to apply, with a good pigment. This mascara is good for the price range. As for me, I use something that cost about triple the amount as I have always had a love/hate relationship with mascara. But for the price, it beats any drug store brand I have used by far. For free, you can't beat it. If your looking for a mascara that won't break the bank and want something to last and not look like spider lashes, then yes.. this would be a good choice.

Ulta Dual Eyeliner

Comes in a dual stick.
Black and Plum. Typically, I use liquid or apply a gel liner on the top lid. Then for the bottom for the water crease I use a stick. For some reason, on the water crease a stick will hold color for me better then gel. For a long longer to. The black has a nice pigment, as well as the plum. Neither bleed and had long lasting color. Easy to apply.

Ulta Cosmetics Pencil Sharpener
(One similar is priced at $2.50)

Also included in this 12 piece set, was a eyeliner sharpener. Which is always nice to have on hand. Features a sharp blade to sharpen eyeliner. The cheap dull ones are always a pain.

Ulta Beauty Highlighter Palette

I was most excited for this cute palette. Features a translucent powder, a nice warm color and a shimmer, called radiant diamond. Which is my favorite! On it has a gorgeous radiant glow. I will be using the translucent powder quite often to. I use it to mark a line while doing eyeshadow. Learned this amazing trick from Jaclyn Hill. So much better then using tape and when you're finished you can blend it right in. This palette offers a good amount of product and isn't some tiny one use throw away.

Ulta Beauty Eyeshadow Palette

A nice little kit of eyeshadows. There are 6 colors. Two shimmers that are just lovely. Then you have the mattes. So far, of the colors I have tried blend pretty well. Both palettes would work great for all skin tones. Each color has a good amount of product that will certainly last you a while. Again, it's a lot more then just a tiny throw away. I am really impressed with the size of both palettes.

Ulta Beauty Color Rush - Lip Gloss
Retail Price: $9.00 full size

In the shade, "Olivia". An attracive pink, glides on easily. So far seems to be long lasting. Feels nice on the lips and not sticky. Stickyness is the problem I usally find with some brands of gloss or they feel oily. Not the case here. Has a nice feel to it and holds its color pretty well. Has a nice pigment and glossy finish.

Matte Lip Crayon
Retail Price: $8.00

Here's another favorite from the 12 piece set. This stuff just glides on like a dream. Creating the perfect matte finish on the lip, with a hint of shimmer. This bold and beautiful matte will not dry out lips and applies so even and just effortlessly. This formula is enriched with vitamins that deeply hydrate and protect. With nutrients that are beneficial to dy lips. This is something that I don't need to apply primer to because of dry chappy lips.

Mini Mirror

Every purse need a mirror! However, I am going to complain just a tad! It doesn't have a cover over the mirror to keep it from getting dirty. But, since it was free.. it's not that big of a deal. Stamped with the Ulta Beauty logo and matching the makeup bag bag.

Blush Brush

Soft and densely packed bristles. Nice simple look and feels good in the hand. Applies nicely.

Tinted Eye Primer (full sized)
Retail Price: $12.00

In the color satin blush, this tinted primer offers a pink shimmer. Can be layered under eyeshadow as a primer. Or worn alone as a cream eyeshadow. The formula has a very lightweight feel, with a luminous finish. Blendable and offers lasting effects for your eyeshadow, holding it all day. With the perfect hint of color. I love that it can be worn by it's self.

And last but not least! A $5 off coupon on the next purchase. Of course that will come in handy. Cause Ulta just turned me in to an even bigger customer! They officially succeeded with getting me to buy more! haha, more makeup is always a good thing, though!

To get this free 12 piece kit, you had to spend $19.50 or more on select Ulta Beauty products.
I was lucky to get a Melissa Michelle eyeshadow palette before it went out of stock. So I was stocked to see my Ulta Beauty Box arrive! Unfortunately, my palette arrived broken oh no! I called up Ulta and told them what had happened. Thankfully, this company offers amazing customer service as it is hard to get something returned or replaced from some makeup company's. So I get an email that my card was fully refunded because they couldn't send a replacement, as this palette was now out of stock! Huge bummer!! As much as I wanted a new palette, I was understanding and glad to get my money back plus they refunded the amount I paid for shipping. For now, I will try and fix the palette.

Back to the 12 piece free gift.. I can't believe how many full sized products was in this kit. I was able to find the value for most of the items, and I am still shocked. I know they have done these free 12 piece gifts in the past, but this was the first one I have ever received. If the site allows you to with each new season they offer, I will definitely be purchasing just to get this freaking awesome kit!
